Love it. Card grade alone would be C- But layering in a great auto in a great spot buffs the grade.
The autograph is perfect, and the exhibit’s colors play off perfectly against it.
The card has some obvious issues, but there aren't a lot of signed Babe Ruth cards out there and the signature looks great on this one.
There could be radioactive sludge on the corners of this card and I really would not care; the eye is held rapt by the unblemished image of Babe and that quotation style auto in the perfect location!
The auto and the image of Babe are everything here. Absolutely stunning. The exterior flaws are easy to ignore when the core eye appeal is this strong.
Wow. The wear is all at the perimeter and what's going on inside that perimeter is a treat for the eye. Crisp image of the Babe with no problems AND a fantastic autograph. Bonus for the quotation marks.
This is all about the autograph. TO ME. some will say the card and autograph. THe reality Babe Ruth Signed Thousands of balls and everything else. However, the number of Baseball Cards is such a small amount that the rarity becomes the focus. The autograph is very nice and very clean and very well placed. Bolder would have been nicer. The card holds it back slightly. seen it has opportunities but the main image is not effected and the rarity is key
All I know about looking at this piece is that my eyes are transfixed by the image and autograph. So therefore whatever is going on elsewhere on the card is simply irrelevant to my eye appeal experience with it. I've tested this a few times now. I look away, then look back at it, and I just stare at Babe and the auto. If I owned this I probably would look at the back a grand total of zero times. Mesmerizing piece.

Perfect example of why eye appeal standards can differ from card to card. You can’t say top or bottom % because other examples simply don’t exist.
