Really like the autograph location. Pen is always best. Centering hurts the appeal a tad.
Great looking card on a very tough autograph. The slight off centering and corners bring down the grade, but an incredible card.
Love the ballpoint auto. But the centering is off and there's a crease that runs into his hat, and likely others we can't see
Perfect example of what makes signed vintage unique. The card alone would get a lower rating IMO but the well placed and super legible ballpoint auto draw the eye and make this one stand out among the very few signed 1953 Satchel's out there.
Good autograph not ideal placement of it but does not get in the way of the image. Corners have biggest opportunities
Despite the centering, the vintage pen auto carries this to a high eye appeal grade for this collector; the detail in the letter formation seen here is exactly what often gets lost with thick sharpies. The image being a large portrait helps draw the eye in and mitigate the uneven border thickness. Overall, it works.
Card has some generally good eye appeal. The centering and bottom right corner hurt its appeal. Otherwise, a pretty nice card.
Nice looking card for a PSA 1.5. Great color. If the image was shifted a bit to the left and that white mark below the "S" in his name wasn't there it would flirt with the A bandeven despite the two bottom corners.

Clean card and a great vintage pen signature. The centering brings the eye appeal down is the only thing, to me.
