Tough βcardβ. Not enjoying the creases and paper loss on face.
Graded on a curve due to scarcity of the issue but not a fan of the cut or the creases.
Extremely rare Ruth but the creases through the face/head are the reason for the C+. If the creases were better placed, then I would feel like this could merit a higher grade due to rarity and importance alone.
It's a total pop 5 card of Babe Ruth worth $60k. What do you want me to say? I wish the creases weren't throught his face of course. But that's like saying I wish the radio didn't crackle in a 1964 Aston Martin DB5, Mr. Bond.
Have be easy on the legendary Butter Cream Ruth, due to its extreme outlier rarity.
Creases through his forehead, only one of three sides has a border, surface wear all hurt the eye appeal. But when you look at the reverse, the card loses significant eye appeal points. I don't like this one at all. F!
