The black border make these tough to find in decent shape. This looks better than most. Centering tilt and some edge wear keep this at a low A tier.
Pack fresh. Not vantablack, but pretty effing black with no chipping at all. A tad OC keeps it out of GT.
Centering is all I can cite here and it almost feels nitpick for a 71 that is this sharp.
Centering is off but man those edges are silky for a 1971 black beauty!
Registration stands out here and edges are above average shape for a ‘71. Held back slightly by centering and tilt for me.
normally not an edge person. But when cards have colors for borders like this one does when it chips/nicks/ etc then you notice the whites and it takes awat from the deep black color and does effect the image. That with the slight centering holds it down But it is a Great Looking Card and would be proud to see it in any Met or Seaver or HOF collection
'71s are so brutal, and really alongside '62s are the only cards where I actually get into edges and corners. The edges and 3 of 4 corners are are KNOCKOUTS. Mild centering shift visible at the bottom of the side borders keeps it from an 'A' for me, yet this is a high A- and not many 71s will break into the A tier for me.

Super strong colors and corners - very tough issue!
